  • The Care & Feeding of Judges

This guide serves as a comprehensive resource for show-giving clubs to understand and anticipate the needs of judges they host. It is not a contract but rather a set of recommendations to facilitate smooth interactions between clubs and judges.

  • Oral and Individual Examination Guide

The preparation of this CDJA guide to the conduct of oral exams in breeds approved by the Canadian Kennel Club was inspired by a similar guide published by the American Kennel Club.

  • Guidelines for Breed Seminar Presentations

The Canadian Dog Judges Association presents the following guidelines to elevate the quality of breed seminar presentations. These suggestions emphasize the presentation format, recognizing that presenters are breed experts who inherently understand the essential aspects of the breed necessary for effective judging.

Our mission is to serve the community with passion and expertise. We’re dedicated to educating our members and aspiring judges, enriching their understanding and skills in conformation dog shows. Whether you’re a seasoned participant or just starting your journey, we’re here to support your growth and enhance the judging experience wherever you officiate.

We collaborate closely with the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) to provide advisory services on conformation dog judging programs and policies. Our aim is to ensure judges uphold the highest standards outlined by CKC and international breed guidelines. By doing so, we honor the distinctive qualities and heritage of various breeds, preserving their essence across borders.

Additionally, we engage in complementary activities that contribute to our core objectives. Together, we strive to foster a community committed to the welfare and appreciation of dogs.
